Our Spring Hiking Uniform: Built for Street to Trail
Tested on the trail. Approved by our group chat.
The winter parkas are officially in storage. It hasn’t snowed in five days. The sun is rising earlier, the birds are louder, and my closet now looks like a bag of Skittles — full of rain jackets, technical pants, and every kind of layering system.
And just like that, it’s spring.
Spring makes us feel alive again. Maybe it’s the flowers pushing through after months of stillness — a quiet reminder that yes, there is life after winter. Maybe it’s the unpredictable weather that keeps us on our toes. Either way, spring movement hits different. It’s refreshing, energizing, and let’s be honest — way more fun to dress for.
Last weekend, I celebrated it all with a last-minute mother-daughter trip to Palm Springs: sunshine, fresh air, and some of my all-time favorite hikes. No vacation is complete without a little vertical movement — and for the first time ever, I think I actually mastered the spring carry-on.
Here’s what I packed — and what we’re reaching for on repeat this month:
Spring is for blooming — for rediscovering ourselves, for hiking farther, and moving stronger.
So here’s your gentle nudge: open the windows, dust off your trail shoes, put on something bright, and get outside — even if it’s just for a walk around the block. Spring is here.
